National Savings at Glance in Siwan District

 

            National Savings as a department was formed in 1967 in Bihar, In Siwan district it established on 26 Jan, 1975 From that year it is functioning for better performance.

            The main moto of National Savings department is to promote savings attitude to the people and the main theme of our department is " AAJ KI BACHAT- KAL KI MUSKAN" and " SAVE TODAY FOR SAFE TOMORROW"

Main functions of our department through employee is -

 

(i)                 To review the position of investment through the Agent's

(ii)                Block level meeting with the Agent's

(iii)              Appointment and renewal of authority to the Agent's

(iv)              Make Co-ordination with the post offices.

(v)               Observation of postal materials in different post offices which linked with investment.

(vi)              To Promote small savings scheme in different post offices and other human beings.

 

There are three Agency system to promote post offices small savings Schemes -

 

(i)                 S.A.S - standard Agency system

(ii)                P.P.F - Public Provident fund

(iii)              M.P.K.B.Y - Mahila Pradhan Kshetriya Bachat Yojana.

 

A female agent can obtain all the three agencies, while a male agent can have only first two. At present in siwan district the number of Agent's are -

(ii)                P.P.F.- 1

(iii)              M.P.K.B.Y- 180

            The Central government gives 100% long term loan on net deposit to the states in every financial year.

            Over all the role of national savings department is very important for developing state like Bihar. It full fill the requirements of more revenue to develop the infrastructure of our state.
